Role Overview
The Accountant is responsible for managing the full financial cycle of the Vietnam office. This includes
international revenue reconciliation, inter-company debt management, domestic commission and expense
processing, payroll, tax compliance, and contract administration. The role requires a high degree of accuracy,
discretion, and the ability to work across multiple functions simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue
• Prepare bank documentation for incoming wire transfers from overseas iae offices
• Track transfer statuses and resolve discrepancies with the bank and sending offices
• Reconcile amounts received against CRM data and report variances
• Maintain the enrolled student list and identify commission-generating enrollments — noting whether
commission is paid directly into the Vietnam office or remitted via overseas iae offices
• Aggregate CRM data to support commission calculations and verify revenue attributable to Ch Ps
• Produce the monthly Cash Flow Plan covering forecasted inflows
Finance / Loan Management
• Track the principal and interest repayment schedule for inter-company loans from iae Holdings
• Prepare international payment documents for each repayment
• Reconcile inter-company loan balances with the iae Holdings
• Flag overdue payment risks and update the cash flow plan accordingly
Expense Processing
• Receive, review, and verify payment requests and supporting documents from all departments
• Prepare payment slips and track approval progress through to settlement
• Collect, classify, and verify supplier invoices for VAT eligibility and accounting readiness
Payroll
• Pull and verify monthly payroll data from the VIVA HR system
• Calculate salary, incentive, and bonus payments based on CRM KPI data
• Process all payroll payments on time and maintain strict confidentiality
Channel Partner (Ch P) Payments
• Calculate agent commissions by reconciling CRM data against contracts and student records
• Prepare agent payment requests and track disbursements through to completion
• Draft acceptance documents for collaborators, track work progress, and prepare payments
• Apply PIT withholding correctly for all freelancer and collaborator payments
Tax and Accounting
• Prepare and submit VAT and PIT returns on schedule in accordance with Vietnamese tax law
• Reconcile all tax declarations against the accounting books prior to submission
• Review journal entries for accuracy, detect errors, and make corrections
• Support the production of monthly and periodic financial reports
Admission / Contract Administration
• Draft and modify commercial contracts and collaborator agreements from approved templates
• Manage the full contract lifecycle including execution tracking and renewal monitoring
• Scan, digitize, and maintain a structured contract filing system
• Track document validity periods and flag upcoming expirations
• Monitor student documentation filing status to support commission claims
Requirements
Essential
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 years of accounting experience at an SME or foreign-invested company in Vietnam
• Sound knowledge of Vietnamese tax law: VAT and PIT filing are non-negotiable
• Experience with international FX payments and bank documentation
• Payroll processing experience (VIVA or a comparable HR/payroll system)
• Proficiency in MISA or equivalent Vietnamese accounting software, and Excel
Preferred
• Experience reconciling data from a CRM system
• Familiarity with inter-company accounting and inter-office reconciliation
• Basic contract drafting and document management experience
• Working proficiency in English (for communication with overseas offices and the iae Holdings)
